Wednesday, May 27, 2009. OLPC 2009 XO deployment in Ethiopia. We are two members of a team selected by OLPCorps to deploy 100 XO laptops to the rural part of Ethiopia at Hamle 19 primary school, Asella city, Arsi zone, Oromia state for children of aged 6 to 12.

Monday, December 20, 2010. This holiday season, give the gift of education. In 2009, we deployed 130 of these cute little sophisticated laptops. At two schools in Sahn Malen, Sierra Leone. It was a bold move- introducing laptops at schools which lacked several other basic facilities- but the premise was, that by empowering children with laptops, specifically built with education in mind, we would by bypass a lot of hurdles in creating a wholesome educational experience for children in Sahn Malen.

Planting the Seed for Education. Last year a small group of us planted a seed and deployed a 100 laptops to a small tribe in North Pokot, Kenya. There has been great news sent to us from our NGO, Pastor Edward from City Harvest Ministries. The Kenyan government wants to invest in more laptops to bring to the Kenyan community. 8220;Never doubt that a small group of committed people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.
